This bike is a bit unusual. It is designed with a mountain bike type frame, but comes with 700C wheels and tires.  More for cyclocross, it is a true hybrid road and trail type bike, and in some situations, could also be used for XC courses, but perhaps not in competition. A versatile bike for those who love to ride on trail and asphalt. Trace would be a great adventure bike.  So, is it a road bike, a cyclocross bike, a commuter bike, or an XC bike?  Well, maybe, depending on the strength of the rider, it can be all those types of bike.
